Madoka Magica Portable
As you can see that vile creature is back to create more Mahou Shoujo. Once more supporting that thing hardly bodes well if one already has finished the animation. If not do so, it's a really good one.
Since HomuHomu is advertising the game I made an exception for it.
For more information about the first person game please visit the official site
No Information has been leaked when the game actually plays, it could be anything even an alternate universe.
The game will be released in two editions, a standard box including a bonus DVD, and a limited edition box containing a Madoka Figma, a bonus Blu-ray Disc, a Kyubey pouch, a 'HomuHomu' handkerchief and a special clear card for all who are willing to import it to enjoy. or burn... burn that pouch...
Yahoo minna the Hyperdimension Neptune - Q&A is up!
Genki desu ne!?
I wanted to post something here, since I'm a huge fan of
Hyperdimension Neptune/Neptunia.
It's not exactly news but in case you failed to notice Siliconera and NISA finished the Q&A for the gamers! If you haven't asked your question yet... it's probably too late to do so, or you could just head over to the Nippon Ichi America Forums!
Here you go, one link to the Q&A:
Siliconera Q&A with NISA
There they answered the most crazy questions about the game without hinting too much on the actual gameplay. That's some kind of sweet fanserice here, so applause for NISA! We would wish some more initiative on those matters from other publishers as well, wouldn't we?

Tales of Innocence - R Screenshot Time!
New screenshots of Tales of Innocence R have arrived, this time detailed Artes pictures of Ruca, Astra his blade Durandal, Spada, Iria and Inanna, Ricardo, Hypnos as well as Ange and Orifiel.
While we are stil eagerly waiting for an announcement Japan will be able to play the game on January 26.
Tales of Innocence R will then be available on Playstation Vita and Nintendo DS. Since the release chances of the DS version are pretty slim (it was already released in 2006) the PSVita might be able to provide another ray of hope for a localization on western shores for this title.

Ragnarok Odyssey - Let's get those jobs done!
By now you might have survived christmas and are ready to game again. So for a little wake up call we arranged a little collection of preview videos of Ragnarok Odysseys Jobs.
As you might assume those are the same job classes as in Ragnarok Online, the old school MMO-RPG from "Gravity" that has been around for ages now. But how will they work when one isn't bound by simple point and click mechanics?
You might want to see the answer for two of them right below here!

Dungeons of Dredmor: Review
Don't you just know that situation, when you see what seems like a good deal yet you're not completely convinced you'll have an actual use for the product? Even worse, when you learn about how exciting said thing seems to be, and you regret not taking a closer look before? Well, that describes my first encounter with Dungeons of Dredmor.
Thanks to the Steam Holiday Sale and the accompanying event, I got to play the game for the first time - and got addicted.
To my defence - DoD got released on the same day as Cthulhu Saves the World, which was an instant-buy for me. Thus, my indie-needs were satisfied for the time being, and I moved on, laughing about mighty Cthulhu and his groupie.
In hindsight, I shouldn't have disregarded the Dungeons of Dredmor, which the over 6 hours I've put into the game since Tuesday evening have clearly proven.

. Hack will return for a new round and a new threat in "The World"
It is yet unknown for which platform the game will appear but CyberConnect2 made the dream of most fans of this franchise come true.
"Another visit in The World"
Matsuyama Hiroshi, the head of CyberConnect2 said in an interview in Famitsu that he cannot reveal which hardware that new .hack game will run on. But he mentioned that the graphics are being rendered in real time. He also acknowledged that the new project has taken it's turn for photorealism after the anime-influenced look of previous titles.
Is that G.U.'s Haseo or is it not? That question has yet to be answered |
»One passage of the Epitaph of Twilight«
Who quests for the Twilight Dragon
Rumbles the Dark Hearth,
And Helba, Queen of the Dark,
has raised finally her army.
Apeiron, King of Light beckons.
At the base of the rainbow do they meet
Against the abominable Wave,
together they fight.
Alba's lake boils.
Light's great tree doth fall.
Power- now all to droplets turned
in the temple of Arche Koeln.
Returns to nothing,
this world of shadowless ones.
Never to return, the shadowed one,
Who quests for the Twilight Dragon.

Recettear & Chantelise 75% off!
BUY. THEM. NOW.
Not kidding, these two games are too excellent to pass on them!
Both Alkaid and I absolutely love these little gems, they're worth every cent.
And believe me, they're dirt cheap today. You've got over 22 hours to buy them with that discount, so hurry. They won't eat your hard-earned cash without giving you a fantastic experience in return.
Chantelise comes along for 1,99€ / $2.49 while Recettear (which will last longer) costs only 3,74€ / $4.99 today. Yes, fair pricing for european customers, isn't that nice?
Grab the demos of Recettear and Chantelise on their Steam-storepages and try them yourselves!
Both games come with a charming taste of humor and heartwarming scenes, and I can only recommend them as christmas presents for people interested in gaming, no matter how old they might be. They're also fitting gifts for your kids, siblings or cousins.
A note apart from the actual games:
Carpe Fulgur is really doing a great job localizing these games, and there's more to come.
If you appreciate the effort, please spread the word to your friends, family or random strangers on the internet, show them that these games are worth the money and support Carpe Fulgur in their Holy Quest to bring us awesome doujin games to enjoy!

Playstation Vita VS PSP Comparison
Here you can see what PSP games will look like on your Playstation Vita.
In the setting menu screen, you can toggle bilinear filtering on and off, set the color space to PSP or Vita, toggle between rear and front camera for PSP games that use the camera, and set the right stick mapping.
The right stick mapping let you map the PSP's analogue nub, d-pad or action buttons to the Vita's right stick. For Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, you'd select the d-pad, which would map the game's camera control to the right stick.

XSEED Announces Sumioni: Demon Arts
Aaaaaaand we're back with some excellent news! XSEED, our beloved publisher of titles like Trails in the Sky, Corpse Party and Fishing Resort officially announced its next localization today. This time it's all about "Sumioni: Demon Arts". Never heard of it? Well, that's not surprising, since it's a Playstation Vita title and isn't even out in Japan yet.
From the looks of it, Sumioni will be one of the launch titles for the western PSV release!
Sumioni presents the PSVita's new features, specifically what you can do with the touchscreen, and how it can benefit Games. This example featuring the Ink Demon (who looks pretty cool!) shows expertly how to involve touch controls in your games to create a unique feeling, rather than just adding them for the sake of it.
Sitting in the camp of "traditional" controls, I can't help but be excited about that game.
Thanks to XSEED it will eventually appear on my doorstep - in a language I can understand!
